bump, set, spike, pop

during a game of volleyball at my family reunion, i landed poorly on my left knee, felt a loud "pop" and immediately collapsed to the ground. i felt some initial pain, but it was manageable. i thought that i could stand up on it, tried it a couple of times, but each time i felt another "pop" and couldn't bear any weight on my leg. with the help of some cousins, was able to get home and started icing the knee. luckily, with all the family around, i was well taken care of.
